Overview:
A personal project with the purpose of creating concept for a stylish pause menu based on the anime "Michiko & Hatchin".
Inspiration
This project was inspired solely by remembering the anime Michiko and Hatchin, and thinking about how that style might translate to a game brought to mind the like of "Persona" and "Danganronpa".

Style Guide
The color palette in particular was born from official art of one the characters and their hyper-stylized color scheme. I took that aesthetic and tried to make an appealing and fitting combo
UI Components
The assets I made for this are clearly based around firearm imagery, which plays into the inspiration coming from "Danganronpa". I also created a halftone effect that helps to further stylize the screen as a whole.
